Since the age of reason from the 16th century, Science has been trying to distance itself from ghosts, spirits, and other worldly creatures.  Now as the M-theory gains tractions among theoretical physicists and cosmologist alike, science may have to acknowledge an uncomfortable reality, that there is not just one but multiple worlds all connected through time and gravity like soap bubbles.

As science debates the origin of our 'universe' more discoveries all likely to arise.  Paranormal investigators might be well served to follow these developments and look to the tools that physicists use to detect these unseen multi-verses that bump against our own.

Our thanks to the BBC for their documentary program on parallel universes and the M-theory.

Parallel Universes - a BBC Documentary

What does the emerging M-theory mean to paranormal investigation?

Perhaps a better question is, what is M-theory?  Without going into great detail M-theory is a controversial theoretical-physics theory that our universe is just one of many.  Ours and these other worlds originated from older and larger worlds that collided creating an energy spark that gave rise to new worlds, kind of like soap bubbles.  Each bubble is distinct and separated from the other by a thin membrane or M.  The leading proponents of this theory suggest that these other worlds exist right along our own with only a thin invisible energy field keeping them apart.

The M-theory gets weird in that time and gravity exist outside of our universe and simply flow into our world like wind through a screen door.  The theory also says that time for all intent has always existed and that it flows in all directions both forward and backward.
