According to modern cosmologist our universe is expanding at an increasingly faster rate. The best way to visualize what is happening is to use an uninflated balloon. Using a ball point pen draw a small circle on the surface of the balloon. Next inflate the balloon and examine what happens to the ink circle. The ink circle enlarges and expands yet the amount of ink does not change, nor does the amount of latex in the balloon. What has happened? There is something pushing against the fabric of our universe (Space/Time) that is causing our universe, (the ink spot) to ever increasingly expand. Something that resides on the other side of (Space/Time) what cosmologists call dark matter and dark energy. The reason it is called "Dark" is because they do not know what "it" is. First let's get the science out of the way.
Edwin Hubble an astronomer discovered the Red Shift in star light. Red shift suggests that all the visible stars and galaxies in the universe are moving away from one another. Since red light is on the slow end of the visible light spectrum the stars and galaxies glow red when observe red.
A new dark energy model called “ghost dark energy” was recently suggested to explain the observed accelerating expansion of the universe. This model originates from the Veneziano ghost of QCD. The dark energy density is proportional to Hubble parameter, ρ D = α H, where α is a constant of order
In the Letter, cosmologists extend the ghost dark energy model to the universe with spatial curvature in the presence of interaction between dark matter and dark energy. They studied cosmological implications of this model in detail. In the absence of interaction the equation of state parameter of ghost dark energy is always w D > −1 and mimics a cosmological constant in the late time, while it is possible to have w D < −1 provided the interaction is taken into account. When k = 0, all previous results of ghost dark energy in flat universe are recovered. For the observational test, we use Supernova type Ia Gold sample, shift parameter of cosmic microwave background radiation and the correlation of acoustic oscillation on the last scattering surface and the baryonic acoustic peak from Sloan Digital Sky Survey are used to confine the value of free parameter of mentioned model.

Now that we have an appreciation for acoustic oscillation we have ask how does this apply to paranormal investigation? What seems to be our best method of detecting paranormal evidence? From my experience the digital recorder catches most of the evidence we have to support paranormal activity. Cosmologists are turning to a state of the art digital recorder to catch baryon acoustic oscillation of the expanding universe created by dark matter and dark energy.
The transparent universe describes the dark matter which cannot be seen, yet acts on the visible universe. If dark matter is able to push and move material things then it is not a far leap to assume that a being made of dark matter would also be able to move a material object without our ability to detect the being. When a being of dark energy made a sound, the sound evolves from dark matter world into the material world creating a sound wave.
Now comes the ah-ha moment. Up to this point science has said that ghosts do not exist because anything that has no mass would not be able to stand on the floor without falling through the floor because they have no atomic structure to support them. Yet here we have cutting edge technology showing the opposite, that something without mass is actually pushing against our universe of matter.
